Meetings and Administration Coordinator
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Meetings and Administration Coordinator to join our administrative team!
The Coordinator is the primary staff member responsible for supporting BSCRC's meetings and conferences such as the center's annual stem cell symposium and monthly research seminar series as well as external advisory board meetings and center-wide retreats.
The successful applicant will be highly adept at multi-tasking and will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills along with strong attention to detail. The position requires skill in time management and prioritization, along with a self-motivated attitude and high regard for the Center’s mission and vision. The Coordinator must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment coordinating frequently with university events staff, student workers and volunteers, as well as interfacing with employees of supply vendors and campus facilities when needed.

Research Associate
The Research Associate will perform research on human embryonic stem cells (hESC), induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), and other biological materials. The incumbent will participate in biomedical studies including biochemical analysis, tissue culture and animal studies. Previous hands-on experience with multipotent stem cells is preferable. They work under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Faculty Supervisor, Laboratory Manager, and other laboratory personnel to oversee maintenance of hESC and iPSC in a GMP/GLP level core facility. Responsible for the maintenance of accurate records, the preparation of media and feeder cells as required to culture cells. Provide support to Faculty Supervisor, Laboratory Manager, and other laboratory personnel for preparation of SOPs.
OPEN FACULTY POSITIONS
The UCLA Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research (Broad Stem Cell Research Center (BSCRC)) is recruiting multiple new faculty working in stem cell research. Investigators with basic research interests in stem cell biology, organ development, tissue regeneration, and stem cell aging as well as those with a more clinical translational focus on stem cell therapeutics and regenerative medicine are encouraged to apply.
Candidates for tenured Associate Professor positions must have well established and funded research programs. Assistant Professor applicants should have demonstrated their potential for research leadership. In all cases, emphasis is placed on the applicant’s record of research accomplishment, creativity, and promise of continuing success.
UCLA offers a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary research environment that promotes interactions between faculty in the Schools of Medicine, Engineering, Nursing and Dentistry, the College of Letters and Science, and units that include the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, California NanoSystems Institute, Brain Research Institute, and UCLA AIDS Institute. The BSCRC features numerous established research cores including flow cytometry, advanced microscopy, high throughput sequencing, and human pluripotent cell banks. In addition, the Alpha Clinic and CTSI provide well-trained staff to facilitate clinical trials.
